A place to talk about what's really going on.

Between work, relationships and everyday responsibilities, it can be hard to find time for yourself. Perhaps you struggle switching off after work or you keep having the same argument with your partner. Maybe you want to understand what’s been missing in your life and why it feels like going through the motions.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before starting therapy. We can begin with what’s on your mind, even if you’re not quite sure how to put it into words.

Nice to meet you. I’m Frank.

A man with a beard and brown hair smiling outdoors, wearing a brown button-up shirt and blue jeans, standing on a leaf-covered path in a wooded area.

I’m a Bay Area native and psychotherapist. Previously I worked in business, government and international trade. Those experiences help me understand the demanding pressures of work life balance. I’ve always been curious about people, how we think, what we feel and how we make sense of our lives. I bring that curiosity into therapy, along with warmth, honesty and a willingness to explore difficult questions.

I have a degree in Counseling Psychology MA., and am lucky enough to have trained with some of the top researchers and leaders in the profession. My years of practice combined with rigorious theoretical training are the backbone of my approach.

Therapy with me is collaborative and engaged. I work especially well with people who value depth, honesty and an active therapeutic relationship. I listen carefully, but I also offer perspective, ask direct questions and help you notice patterns that can be difficult to see on your own.

My approach brings together rigorous clinical training, years of experience and the intuition that develops through close attention to each person I work with. I draw from relational, somatic, experiential, and evidence-informed approaches. I adapt my work to what is most useful for you rather than relying on a single method or strategy.
